Dr. Raj was born and raised in a small farming village in Gujarat, India. He first traveled to the city for medical school, and pursued further training in the USA. He conducted and published vascular surgery research prior to his residency training in surgery and anesthesiology at New York Medical College. After training, Dr. Raj has practiced Pain Management in a variety of settings, including various hospitals and freestanding clinics. Prior to establishing Advanced Pain Clinic in Central Florida, he practiced in Pennsylvania.
When Dr. Raj began practicing Pain Management, the field was in its infancy. His natural curiosity regarding chronic pain conditions has led to continuous, substantial improvements in Dr. Raj's practice over his 25 year career. He is proud to offer a variety of therapies for complex pain patients when conservative management has failed, including various nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, joint injections, morphine pump management, and other therapies. Due to his curiosity and experience, he has developed effective approaches to treating chronic intractable headaches and low back pain.
Dr. Raj is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiologists and the American Board of Pain Medicine. He was recently awarded a fellow degree by the American Board of Disability Analysts. He has privileges at Osceola Regional Medical Center and Heart of Florida Hospital. Dr. Raj has received many awards in different fields over the years, including Physician of the Year, Honorary Chairman, and Honorary Co-chairman by the Physician Advisory Board of National Republican Congressional Committee. He received the "American Medal of Honor" by the American Biographical Institute in 2002. Dr. Raj is proud to regularly provide charity medical care in his home state of Gujarat, India. He understands the impact of chronic pain on patients' abilities to earn a living, participate in activities, and live a meaningful life, and aims to reduce that burden.
Neal Rajyaguru, MD pursued his undergraduate and medical training at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, graduating in 2016. He pursued training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. His skillset includes diagnosis of management of patients with chronic pain, spinal cord lesions, and traumatic brain injuries. He is able to perform additional testing to diagnose your underlying disorder with modalities such as electromyography (EMG) and ultrasound. In addition, he is able to offer progressive treatments, such as therapeutic Botox injections for dystonia and spasticity, in addition to ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks and joint injections.
